Amy brings to us her liberal arts background as a Biology major with an interest in public health. These passions will greatly contribute to her work in Creation Care with Lutherans Restoring Creation as she explores the health effects of climate change. Another part of her work with LCPPM involves organizing in-district meetings to promote conversations among legislative leaders, clergy, and laypersons in order to advocate for policies that protect the most vulnerable Minnesotans. These meetings have been crucial as our state works towards a solution to resolve our current budget deficit.
Amy looks forward to the opportunity to live out the values of her faith in the intersections of caring for God’s creation, the health impacts of climate change, and in working towards the elimination of hunger and poverty. With LCPPM, her efforts are centered on the desire to maintain a threshold of human dignity for all in our society, especially the most vulnerable.
