A report released by Hunger Solutions Minnesota reveals that thousands of Minnesota citizens are relying upon our safety net of programs to help put food on the table. The report is a year end review of key hunger touch points in Minnesota including:
Food Support – 66% increase in enrollment since Fall 2008
Child hunger – 40% of all public school students qualify for assistance
Food shelf visits in the Metro jumped 97% from Fall 2008 to Fall 2010
